Radon Level Chart

How important is my radon level?

The only safe amount of radon is zero.

Unfortunately, radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in the ground and air all around us, so it is ultimately unavoidable. Any radon exposure poses some health risk, so the best approach is to lower the level in your home or building as much as possible.

When it comes to understanding how much radon you are being exposed to, your level is the most important thing to find out and testing is the only way to determine if your level is elevated.

How radon enters a house

Is my home at risk?

Testing is easy and inexpensive - and it could literally save your life.

You can't see or smell radon gas, but it is dangerous. It makes its way into your home through cracks in your foundation and other sources. Your home traps the radon, allowing it to build up. Breathing in high levels of radon can raise your risk of lung cancer. In fact, radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers. About 1 in every 15 homes have an elevated radon level.

Testing your home is the only way to find out if you have a radon problem.
If you do, you can fix it by venting the harmful gas out and away from your home.

We are happy to answer any questions you have.
